Enter the rechargeable Smart Wand series from Lelo. This wand is to the Hitachi what the BMW is to the Volkswagen. The rechargeable Smart Wand is equally (yes, equally) powerful and well made. Like other Lelo toys, the Rechargeable Smart Wand features 8 different massage patterns, and the ability to customize the intensity of each. Here it bears mentioning that if you like the vibration frequency of the wand style vibes, but find them too intense, the Smart Wand’s lowest setting has all the rumble and none of the “yowza!”
One other innovation really stands out with this toy: An innovative SenseTouch feature can be activated by pressing and holding the “mode” button for 3-5 seconds. While the Sense Touch mode is activated, the vibe becomes reactive to touch, powering down to its lowest setting, and then up to the maximum when it comes in contact with skin. (The maximum in this mode is also adjustable, so you don’t accidentally “yowza” yourself.)
A couple of last features: The vibe charges in two hours, for up to two hours of use. Its Li-Ion battery will standby up to 90 days. And hey, it’s also great for shoulders.

Some specifics: (1) SMART WAND vibes are waterproof. As with any other rechargeable electronics, following the operating manual will prolong the operating life of the vibe, its rechargeable battery, and its charger. (2) The shaft or “business end” of the vibe is made of silicone; a material that is compatible with water-based lubes but NOT SILICONE LUBES; those will adhere to it and ruin the appearance of the toy. Soap and warm water applied with a damp cloth (washing away from the control panel) will clean silicone sufficiently. You may use an adult toy cleaner, though unnecessary. (3) Never use oil-based lubricants. These will degrade polypropylene and hard ABS plastic like the handle on your vibe. (4) TRAVEL LOCK: to activate /deactivate the travel lock, press and hold both the “+” and “-” buttons for five seconds. (5) SENSE TOUCH MODE: to activate/deactivate the SenseTouch mode, press and hold the Mode “()” button for 3-5 seconds.Charger troubleshooting: (1) Use only LELO brand chargers. Do not use the LARGE SMART WAND charger for any other Lelo brand toy. 2) When the battery is running low, the light will blink. 3) When the vibe is plugged in to charge, the light will pulse. If you don’t get a pulsing light immediately, the vibe may be completely drained, in which case the light will begin to pulse after a couple of minutes of charging. If you’re not getting a light after a few minutes, check that the charger is connected properly.
